Infants (6 weeks – 12 months)
Infants focus on motor, visual, language, social/emotion and cognitive developmental skills. For example, children will practice focusing their eyes, responding to their name/sounds, reaching, grasping, rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, walking, catching, clapping, etc. based upon their individual developmental stage. Children are taught simple sign language signs to help them communicate. For younger infants their schedule is flexible based upon their eating and napping schedule.

Toddlers (1 year old – 2 years old)
At this age, children are meeting new challenges. Toddlers are moving around more, forming simple phrases and sentences, and following simple instructions and directions. Children learn best if they are in a stimulating environment. Music, stories, outdoor play, curriculum lessons and manipulatives are important in a toddlers day to day activity.

Early Learners (3 years old – 5 years old)
Building Foundations offers small group instructional sessions for students 36 months – 5 years of age*. This program is designed to provide the essential skills to lay the foundational skills for children before starting kindergarten.

Before and or After School Program
This program is geared towards students in 5 – 12years of age. Building Foundations' staff assist students with homework completion. In addition, challenging assignments are re-taught at a level whereby students can gain understanding. Students also engage in small group activities while learning test taking and study skill strategies. Further, this program offers opportunities for students to improve their social skills.

Student’s Day Out
On days that PGCPS (Prince George's County Public Schools) are closed, students have the opportunity to venture out and explore various sites within Maryland and the Washington Metropolitan Area. Students will enjoy a stress free day while engaging in educational games and participating in various activities to help enhance their overall learning experience.

- This is a 8 to 10 week program. Each week students embark upon an intellectual journey. During their journey, students review, bridge gaps, and enhance academic skills collectively and individually based on the outcome of their educational assessment. In addition, scheduled off-site activities add excitement while enhancing learning objectives. Moreover, social skills and etiquette will be introduced to some and reinforced with others in hopes of supporting a foundation that produces overall success for families and communities.
- Summer is a time to brush up on certain skills and have fun. Students will benefit from off-site activities. Some of the trips students will have the opportunity to participate in include: Prince George's County Early Learner Playgroups, Circus, live performances, gym activities, visits to the library, story time, local park and historic sites. The Activity Fee covers activities unless otherwise stated.
