We believe that children learn through play and positive experiences, so we create memorable learning experiences. Our children engage in activities on and off site with an effort to bring excitement to what they are learning in the classroom, and to assist them with developing or enhancing social skills, as well as building character.  

In addition to nourishing the mind, we nourish the body... providing Lunch, PM Snack and Dinner based on USDA Guidelines.

Building Foundations Family Child Care is committed to providing quality child care and a positive learning experience one child at a time. 
Our focus is on the whole child - to assist children with personal, social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical development while promoting school readiness; and inclusion of children with special needs. In addition, we help children develop character and conduct with the hope of developing responsible, accountable, respectful and productive citizens.​​

Meet the Founder 

Kamil Heard

Early Childhood Specialist :: Director
State of Maryland Licensed Child Care Provider
Mrs. Kamil received her Child Studies, Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in 2003 from Bowie State University. She is an Early Childhood Specialist, State of Maryland Licensed Family Child Care Provider and Tutor. She has over 25 years of experience with working with children ages birth through 18 years old, including children with learning disabilities.
Mrs. Kamil has a love and passion for children, and enjoys helping them reach their fullest potential.

​She is a member of Maryland State Family Child Care Association (MSFCCA) and Professional Child Care Provider Network of Prince George’s County, INC. (PCCPNPG).
